I emigrated from London to attend Manchester Medical School in the mid 1980’s (yes, I know some of you may not even have been born then!). I worked in teaching & district general hospitals, but trained for General Practice at the Royal Oldham Hospital and in Rochdale at a practice that I’m still in!
As one of the Pennine Programme Directors,I help look after training practices in Rochdale, Heywood and Middleton. In addition, I help maintain, oversee & develop GPST on our patch with the other PD’s and educator team. I have recently been appointed as a Primary Care Medical Educator with responsibility for ST1&2s.
In spare time, I run a taxi and ATM service for my kids. In my spare, spare time, I try to enjoy mild off road biking, dragging my teenagers onto a badminton court and agreeing with most things on the TV programme “Grumpy Old Men”.
If you have any enquiries about GP training on our patch, please contact me or one of the other Educators.

I am a GP Appraiser. My main medical interests include ‘keeping my head above water’ and ‘keeping out of trouble’!
I am a GP Trainer and Medical Student Tutor. I’ve been a Primary Care Medical Educator since 2008 and have some responsibility for delivering education for ST1&2s and am currently helping develop our website.
I'm married with 2 children and very much enjoy the outdoor life. My proudest achievements this year are cycling up Alp D’Huez this summer, completed a ˝ ironman and the Helvellyn triathlon this year...

After qualifying from Oxford University in 1996, I moved back home to the Northwest and worked in hospitals throughout Manchester and Cheshire before travelling to New Zealand where I worked in A&E.
On my return I completed my GP training in Stockport and became a partner at Broken Cross Surgery, Macclesfield in 2002 with a specialist interest in dermatology, minor surgery, ear, nose and throat medicine, IT and non-surgical cosmetics.
I became a GP trainer in 2006 and really enjoy this aspect of my work. My interest in education has grown since this time and I now convene the Macclesfield trainers group. In 2015 I became a PCME in the Pennine area and I look forward to the exciting challenges that this brings in the world of GP education.
I am married with two children who are now teenagers! I am attempting to climb all the "Wainwright" Hills in the Lake District (only about 100 more to go!) and, when not on top of mountains, I am a frustrated piano player playing all the right notes but not necessarily in the right order!
