|Sickness and Absence|
All Sickness and absence must be reported to NLTPCT on a monthly basis.
For full guidance please refer to the enclosed Interim Policy that is being used by Lead Employer Trusts (LET) within the North West Region. The purpose of this guide is to offer a summary and guidance on the key points.
The maximum of two weeks of unplanned leave (eg. sickness leave) can be taken without the need to make the time up. Any additional time taken beyond 2 weeks will need an extension of the planned finishing date.
The attached ĎAbsence Recordí must be completed by the Practice Manager and sent to North Lancashire Teaching PCT on a monthly basis i.e. for any absences occurring during April, a report must be sent by the 3rd of May. These should be emailed to Click here to email medical staffing directly
Please note that this information is essential as NLTPCT will report absence to the North Western Deanery for Educational Purposes and this therefore is a fundamental process which is required to assess whether or not Trainees are fit to be signed off or, whether they require a period of extended training due to absence.
